Our infamous Big Bird Bar at Greystoke Mahale is getting some TLC while camp is closed.
As you will have read on this blog, Greystoke has been completely cut off from the rest of Tanzania (except in emergencys) so that we can protect the chimps from the risks posed by Covid19. The crew left there have everything they need and are living a bit of a Robinson Crusoe life in one of the most beautiful places on the planet.
But, they are hard at work! The camp is being updated and fixed while there are no guests around, and the Big Bird Bar was first on the list. We'll keep you posted on the progress, and we look forward to having you for a drink, watching the sun set over Lake Tanganyika, just as soon as the time is right.
