The heavy rains have eased up and the ground is drying up quickly, (even getting dusty in some areas already!), but the plains are green all over and the wildebeest are spreading out from Olduvai, across the plains towards Endulen, Maswa, Kusini and also in the Ndutu woodlands. The plains are teeming with calves and the predators are having an easy time. Some have moved further north already and have been seen near Olobaye.
We will need some fresh rains to keep them on the plains as they have already started to disperse into smaller scattered groups spreading out.
We've also been seeing wild dog in Piyaya so even more reason to combine Nduara Loliondo with Serengeti Safari Camp between December and March.
