We loved it so much here that we had wanted to extend our stay by another day. It was a shame the lodge was already booked out but we realised it was also time to give the other guests a chance to enjoy the magic of Entamanu, Ngorongoro! Well done, Jonathan & Team.

The Entamanu camp lodge is being transformed - with its tented rooms becoming more permanent structures. Thus, at the time of our visit, there was some limited construction work ongoing. The Entamanu camp lodge is being transformed - with its tented rooms becoming more permanent structures. Thus, at the time of our visit, there was some limited construction work ongoing. However, this was only during the day (when guests are out at the.Crater), and was entirely out of view. As it is, it is worth it: the new rooms are stunning, with incredible views and very high quality finishes and fittings. It will all be worth the wait. In the meantime, the staff are wonderful - from Jonathan (the manager) with his infectious smile, to Jackson (the waiter) with his warm service and willingness to please. Food is lovely, and there is something magical about being high on the crater rim (where even the summer nights are cold enough to warrant a log fire which welcomes you as you return from a day of safari). This is definitely somewhere to put on your list.

Oasis of Cosy Rooms

Our family of two adults and four kids (15, 14, 12, 10) spent 3 weeks vacationing in Tanzania. Most of our trip was spent on safari in the various national parks. Staying at Lamai Serengeti midway through the trip was a nice break in the busy schedule. This was an oasis of cosy rooms, lots of privacy, hot showers, a pool, a bar, and excellent meals. There were fuzzy hyraxes everywhere. The troop of Vervet monkeys were very entertaining. Our private deck looked out at the beautiful rolling hills, with elephants in the distance. Highly recommend staying here!

Authentic Bush Experience
