We have just spent 4 days at Sand Rivers and it was simply amazing. From the moment we arrived to a smiling welcoming party to the moment we were waved off onto our plane we felt special. what was truly amazing was the attention to detail - just as you were thinking you needed something it was either already there or on its way.
Michael's food was inventive and delicious and tasted equally good served at a table or off the bonnet of a landrover.
At Sand Rivers you are immersed in the surroundings seamlessly - waking up to the sound of hippos chatting away in the river below is an unforgettable experience but the river trips and games drives really do go live as soon as you step out of you room.
A special mention to our guide Ibrahim who shared his knowledge with us generously and made all of our trips both informative and most importantly fun. Sitting watching a sunbathing pride of lions recovering from a hard nights hunting will take some beating.
